Saga writes to your own computer, into the game's SavedVariables file. It has no network access and sends nothing. It records your own character's sessions, levels and XP, quests, zones, skills and professions, reputation, mounts, gold (as sampled balances), items that dropped for you, and your own deaths with where they happened.

/sagarec export off stops recording at any time.

• Other players' names. Other players appear, if at all, only as a class, race, level range and zone.
• Chat of any kind.
• Who you trade with or send mail to.
• Anything from the combat log.

Nothing, unless you choose it. The separate uploader program sends what the addon recorded, using an upload key you create while signed in. Without it, your ledger never leaves your computer.

Signing in with Battle.net gives this site your Battle.net account id and BattleTag. It does not give us your email, your password, or access to your Battle.net account.

• Your character pages and session history are visible only to you, signed in. The database enforces this per row, not just the page.
• If you choose Share this character, anyone with that link sees one card: the character's name, class, race, level, time played, sessions, quests, deaths and best find. Nothing else about it, and nothing about your other characters. Stop sharing closes the link at once; deleting your data removes every link.
• The cohort page shows statistics across many players: medians and percentiles, never a name or a character, and nothing at all for a group smaller than 30.

In a Supabase database (PostgreSQL) in the United States. The site runs on Vercel. Upload keys are stored only as a hash; the key itself is shown to you once and never kept.

Item names and icons, class and profession icons and creature portraits come from Blizzard's Game Data API. They are cached for at most 30 days, as Blizzard's terms require, and describe the game, not you. Not endorsed by Blizzard.

Hovering an item or creature shows its in-game tooltip from Wowhead. Their tooltip script is loaded from their servers, which therefore see your browser's request, as with any image or script from another site. Nothing about your characters is sent to them: the links carry only an item or creature number.

Sign in, open Key, and use Delete my data. It removes, at once and for good: every event recorded for your characters, the characters, your upload keys, and your sign-in account. The addon's own file on your computer is yours; delete Saga.lua from your WTF folder to remove that too.
